The New York Trip Review
It went really well. We were constantly busy and forever on the move!
Here’s what we did:
- Visited Ellis Island
- Went to the Statue of Liberty
- 9/11 Memorial
- Central Park (including Strawberry Fields!)
- Phantom of the Opera
- Times Square shopping
- Visiting the Intrepid
- Playing on the Intrepid
- Eat
- Tour at the Carnegie
- Tour at NBC Studios (I WAS BREATHING THE SAME AIR AS THE SNL CAST.)
- I met Eugene Levy (He signed my phone case!)
- Went to the Today Show
- Rode the bus
- Tour of the Lincoln Center
I didn’t add sleep because we didn’t get much of that!
Our performance on the Intrepid went well considering we had two full ensemble rehearsals that not everyone showed up to. I personally only messed up once which is a new record for me! We sounded great as a band and I am very proud of my marching band family for sticking together through this season with its ups and downs.
We only have two performances left which are during the “Band Bounce”. The “Band Bounce” is the spring concert we’re having that is two days long and the WMB is playing both nights. I’m so excited about it!
